Our office is open from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday; Open on select Saturdays (call for more information).
After hours, Dr. Chung or one of her associates will be available for emergencies. Instructions for contacting Dr. Chung or her on-call coverage will be available by calling our main number 703-378-3508. You can also leave a message for less urgent matters.
In the unlikely event that our phone system malfunctions or you do not receive a timely response, please go directly to the nearest emergency room. AS ALWAYS, IF YOU ARE CALLING ABOUT A LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY, PLEASE DIAL 911 IMMEDIATELY.
Patients are seen in the office by appointment. For your initial visit, please arrive fifteen minutes early to complete the necessary paperwork. We strive to run an on time office. We appreciate that you are busy and your time is valuable. Your cooperation is necessary to keep us on schedule. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please telephone the office at least one day in advance to reschedule. We will make every effort to notify you in the event that we are delayed by an emergency. You may be billed for no-show fee of $35.00 if you do not cancel the appointment within 24 hours.
Dr. Chung carefully chooses both the amount and type of medication to prescribe for you, during your office visit. The last authorized refill should serve as a reminder to you of the appropriate time for follow-up. If you do need a refill to tide you over, please call us and give us at least 48 hours notice to authorize the refill.
Dr. Chung prefers to meet with her patients face to face, but knowing how hectic and busy your D.C. Metro Area and Northern Virginia life can get, phone consults are also available by appointment, and where applicable, you may be billed directly.
Matters of a sensitive nature are apt to be discussed in the office; all communications are strictly confidential. The only exception is when required by law.
If you are under the care of another physician for an active problem, please request that your records be sent before your first appointment. The law requires that such a request be made in writing. Also, please bring the names and dosages of all medicines that you are taking, especially if you need a refill. The receptionist may request more information over the telephone, for appointments other than annual exams. This additional information allows us to schedule sufficient time for your visit, particularly if the issues are complex.
Payments & Insurance If you have other insurance we will be happy to submit a claim to your plan and you will be reimbursed at the "out of network" rate. Even "out-of-network" patients find our services affordable and a good value. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff can help you understand and maximize your benefits.
We contract with many insurance plans and accept cash, checks, Visa and Master Card. Please call the office if you have any questions regarding billing and payment.
